It's that time of year again; morning temperatures drop below freezing, and icy winds threaten numbness in our hands and feet. Okay, maybe that's just November in Wisconsin, but regardless, winter is on its way! As tempting as it is to simply roll out of bed and throw on my down parka, I've opted for a chicer alternative this holiday season.
I've been searching for the perfect camel coat for the past year or so, and I finally found the piece I've been looking for! The color is warm, the fabric is luxe, and the cut is casual enough for everyday wear but still polished and put together. This coat by Madewell is also constructed from about 70% wool, so it's as warm as it is stylish.
For this look in particular, I paired a black turtleneck with vintage-inspired denim and completed the look with chunky gold accessories and my go-to cap toe sling backs. I've been really into gold accessories lately, and I'm currently considering making my first luxury purchase: a Gucci belt. Call me crazy, but I love the idea of mixing high and low price points to create luxurious looking outfits.
No doubt, I'll break out my parka once it starts snowing, but for now, I'm staying cozy and chic in my wool walker coat. Sometimes the best looks are as simple as good basics and classic outerwear.
Stay warm out there!
