Big hair, puffy sleeves, and bold colors; the '80s are coming back in a big way for 2017. While big hair is out of the question, I've been loving a few of the more wearable 1980s inspired trends.

1. First, like I mentioned in my previous article, the statement sleeve is going strong for 2017. Here, instead of bell sleeves I opted for a voluminous ruffled look. The blouse's sleeves along with the of the shoulder styling  are subtle nods to the decade with a modern twist.

2. Second, vinyl and patent leather looks are all the rage! I love this vinyl mini skirt for summer. The piece's texture adds an interest and spunk to the look.

3. Last, backless shoes are debatably the it style for 2017. From mules like these, to backless loafers, the vintage inspired trend adds an element of sophistication to any outfit. I absolutely love these mules from Aldo, since they give me a little height but are still super comfortable for walking around!

It amazes me how past trends continue to come back in style, so if you need a little inspiration, look to the past! You may be surpirsed with the gems you find.
