Like many fashionistas, I often overthink my outfits. I usually spend at least half an hour every morning playing around with different combinations in front of my bedroom mirror. I'm always running fashionably late, and I have a Kate Spade planner with the slogan to prove it. Heading out the door not feeling like my best self can throw off my entire outlook, so today I'm sharing a few tips that I've been using lately to feel polished and confident no matter what I'm wearing.

1. Get your hair done: Though I'm currently trying to grow my hair out, it was time for a trim. Damaged hair is difficult to style and never looks quite as put together as freshly trimmed locks.

2. Treat yourself to a manicure: Until recently, I never appreciated the power of painted nails. This subtle yet noticeable detail leaves me feeling more polished (no pun intended) and helps me avoid cringe worthy detail shots. I've been loving classic shades of taupe like this one to keep things clean and neutral.

4. Emphasize your best features and enhance the ones that need a boost: I'm usually pretty minimal with makeup, but doing my brows is an essential step in my morning routine. Naturally, my eyebrows are a light blonde color and barely show up in pictures if I don't give them some definition. Lately, I've been using Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade, and I love that it lasts all day. Filling in my brows frames my face and emphasizes my eyes, one of my favorite features!

5. Just own it: I completely stand by the idea that you can pull off just about any look if you wear it with confidence. My motto lately: fake it 'till you make it. At the end of the day, it really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks as long as you feel beautiful in the look you're in. Trust me, a little confidence goes a long way.

Special thanks to Wantable.com who granted me early access to shop their annual warehouse sale and tour their beautiful headquarters in downtown Milwaukee. Wantable is the presenting sponsor for Milwaukee Fashion Week, and I am so excited to attend wearing my personalized Style Edit! Take their styling quiz, and they'll send you an assortment of brand name items based on your provided preferences. Basically, you keep what you love and send back what you don't with the convenience of your own personal shopper!

Milwaukee Fashion Week will take place September 21-23, and you can purchase tickets here while supplies last! Though small, I have found that Milwaukee is home to a growing and enthusiastic fashion community that I am so happy to be a part of. Needless to say, I am excited for the weeks to come!
