Like many fashionistas, I often overthink my outfits. I usually spend at least half an hour every morning playing around with different combinations in front of my mirror. I'm always running fashionably late, and I have a Kate Spade planner with the slogan to prove it.
Though I usually gravitate towards neutral colors, I can't wait to experiment with bright, bold, red this fall! Designers including Fendi, Max Mara, Victoria Beckham, and Oscar de la Renta have all shown head to toe "power red" looks on the runway this past February, and the daring hue has been deemed the "color of the fall" by Elle Magazine among other fashion publications.
In the past, I've reserved metallics for holiday celebrations, but this fall, you'll be seeing shimmer and sequins with a futuristic edge. Though lately, I've been gravitating towards more basic pieces, I've found that any look can maintain a classic elegance with a few simple styling tricks.
Fall fashion season is almost here, and I can barely contain my excitement! Soon enough, we will be wearing our favorite boots, jackets, and sweaters on rotation. Though I traditionally associate wearing leather with brisk fall weather (aka leather weather), I've already started to wear my favorite moto jackets during the cooler summer days.
No matter how hard I tried to reach my ideal self, I came to the realization that there would always be someone more successful, more interesting, and more stylish than me. Thankfully, as I matured, I gained some perspective on this outlook.
This photo shoot was for an upcoming lookbook for Moda Magazine featuring gowns by local designer, Christine Adar. This past year, I contributed to Moda as a part of the publication's creative team, so I was beyond excited when the magazine's creative directors asked me to photograph a summer lookbook.
